Perhaps the biggest story from the 2018 off-season was the naming of an expansion franchise in the Nashville Knights, but that apparently was just the beginning. A few weeks after announcing the franchise, the Knights hired the LFL’s first-ever female head coach, Danika Brace. Brace wasted little time in putting together an All-Star line-up which included the roster that won Legends Cup 2017. League MVP Jade Randle, long-time Quarterback KK Matheny, All-Fantasy running back Stevie Schnoor, one of the most dynamic running backs in the game Dominique Malloy and perhaps the most underrated defensive player in the history of the LFL, Danielle Hawkins. All eyes will be on Brace to see how she manages the pressures of coaching, especially with this line-up.

Austin also made its primary focus recruiting this off-season and as result got some size upfront and more athletic. Quarterback Teshay Winfrey is coming off a 2017 season where she led the league in passing, her targets were and are plenty including break-out 2017 rookie wide receiver Kassandra Bills, a great slot receiver in Leilani Lopez, Kristin Beckman and Michelle Marshall out of the backfield. Defense is the great unknown in Austin, they will be tested early with a Nashville team that comes packing a lot of fire-power offensively.
