LFL ANNOUNCES LFL EUROPA, FRANCE NATIONAL TEAM DIRECTOR, SARAH RIAHI

Riahi has been the force behind building women’s American Football in France, credited as Founder of the first-ever women’s tackle football team in France. Riahi has also attended and graduated from France’s coaching academy, became the first-ever female referee in French American Football Federation and created as well as implemented the first-ever women’s tackle football championship in France. Serving as a consultant to the LFL since 2013, which as also included being an on-air analyst with the LFL’s national-broadcaster in France, SFR Sport TV. Riahi will be amongst five other Directors in Europe, starting in 2019, supervising the build out of national teams in France, Ireland, UK, Spain, Italy and Belgium.
“Interest has truly grown around American Football in France, with the arrival of the LFL in 2020, it will greatly accelerate the pace of awareness for the sport. This is one of the very rare opportunities where women will lead the way in introducing a sport, to a nation and continent. I look forward to the build out process beginning in 2019 and 2020, alongside my colleagues within LFL Europa”, said Sarah Riahi.
