(Tuesday, December 17, 2013) Legends Football League USA (or ‘LFL USA’) officials have announced its Cleveland Crush franchise will be moving to Toledo, Ohio’s Huntington Center or the upcoming 2014 season of LFL USA. The LFL is now a global sport with league play in USA, Canada, Australia and in 2015 in Europe.

The Cleveland Crush were part of the Eastern Conference and will remain in the Eastern Conference for 2014 and beyond. As there is an existing vast fan base of Cleveland football fans in Toledo, the move should appeal to fans, bringing one of the fastest growing sports globally to their backyard.

“We were approached by the LFL about the possible move to our building. The Huntington Center offers a wide variety of programming.  We look forward to a successful relationship with the LFL”, said Steve Miller, Huntington Center, General Manager.

The Crush will play two home games at Huntington Center to include May 10, 2014 and June 21, 2014.  Tickets are on-sale now, go online to or call 800-745-3000 or visit the Huntington Center box office.

“Cleveland is an incredible sports town and the Q Arena is one of the finest arenas in the country. While it was an incredible combination for us, it simply did not fit within our business model moving forward. Toledo and specifically the Huntington Center is an incredible setting for LFL Football and it also provides proximity to draw athletes, coaches and fans not only from Toledo but Cleveland and Detroit as well”, said Mitchell Mortaza, LFL Chairman.

Open tryouts to field a team will be held Saturday, January 4 (Location TBA).
