(DALLAS, TX – Monday, November 2)

Legends Football League (or ‘LFL’) and Dr. Pepper Arena officials are announcing the return of one of the LFL’s original franchises, Dallas Desire.

The Desire will kick off April 2016 in the Western Conference. Last month, the other Texas team and future rival, Austin Acoustic were also announced as a 2016 expansion franchise. The Desire will host (2) home games at Dr. Pepper Arena on Saturday, May 21st vs Austin Acoustic in the ‘Battle for Texas Bowl’ and Saturday, June 19th vs the reigning LFL Champion, Seattle Mist.

“One of our top priorities was to establish a franchise in one of the countries largest media markets, that lives and breathes football. The Desire will become one of our sports’ signature franchises”, said Mitchell S. Mortaza, Founder & Chairman, Legends Football League.

Dallas Desire will host their 2016 Open Tryout on Saturday, January 2nd (Location TBA). A head coach will be named in the coming weeks.

The return of the Desire will result in the suspension of the Las Vegas Sin for the 2016 season, due to poor financial model options with prospective host arenas. The Sin are expected to return once an ideal host arena is identified.

The Western Conference is now set for the 2016 season with the Seattle Mist, Los Angeles Temptation, Austin Acoustic and Dallas Desire.
