(Las Vegas, NV, – Tuesday, January 3rd) — Las Vegas-based Lingerie Football League, announced today that the blockbuster annual Super Bowl Sunday worldwide broadcast and events of the Lingerie Bowl is moving from the Super Bowl host city of Indianapolis to Las Vegas. The Orleans Arena has been selected as the host venue for Lingerie Bowl IX set to be played on Sunday, February 5th broadcast LIVE on MTV Networks’ MTV2 channel and nearly 45 other countries. The Orleans Hotel & Casino has been named the official host hotel.
Since its premiere in 2004, the Lingerie Bowl has become a staple of Super Bowl Sunday viewing for millions of football fans worldwide. Due to the previous success’ of the Lingerie Bowl broadcasts drawing millions of viewers and blue-chip advertisers, the Lingerie Football League was launched in 2009, and named the fastest-growing sports league in the country by BusinessWeek in 2010.
The western and eastern conference champions of the Lingerie Football League will play in Lingerie Bowl IX, which will be broadcast nationally live on MTV Networks’ MTV2 channel on Sunday, February 5 at 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. PST at Orleans Arena with the Lingerie Football League Tailgate Village, featuring live music, football challenges, beer gardens, BBQ food, a video gaming lounge and much more.
