LFL LEAGUE OFFICES ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF HEAD COACHES, JOE DEBERRY AND CARLOS BATES

(LAS VEGAS, NV.) Legends Football League (LFL) officials are announcing the release of first-year coaches Joe DeBerry of the Pittsburgh Rebellion and Carlos Bates of the Denver Dream.

While Joe DeBerry yielded a respectable first-year performance with the Pittsburgh Rebellion, the consensus was that he lost the locker-room and was never viewed as the head coach. The Rebellion are currently conducting an interview process which will include members of DeBerry’s staff of assistants.

Carlos Bates of the Denver Dream has also been released, due to what most LFL analysts are calling the worst football product ever produced. The Dream gave up a league-record 363 points while only scoring 6 points. The Dream will begin formal interviews at the beginning of October.

“Its always tough when coaching hires do not work out. Both Joe and Carlos put in a considerable amount of time into their respective organizations, ultimately they were simply not a fit within the culture of winning football. We thank them for their time and dedication”, said Mitchell Mortaza, Commissioner, Legends Football League.

Denver and Pittsburgh are expansion teams that are expected to return in 2018, open tryouts for both teams will be held in December. Coaching hires will be announced in October.
